“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” – Dalai Lama
It is a glorious fall morning in Colorado today! The temperature is crisp and cool, the trees are changing quickly to red and gold with barely a breeze, and I am having a glorious time writing my new book on finding love later in life. I have had so many reads of a blog post I wrote back in December 2007 called Falling in Love at 49! I am happy to offer encouragement and inspiration to others who may dream of finding true love when they are finally old enough to appreciate it.
My new book: How to Believe In Love Again: Opening to forgiveness, trust & your own inner wisdom, is about what it takes to get past the many obstacles in our own brains and hearts, those old voices inside that seek to convince us that love is no longer available to us as we age. Of course, it is always easier to give up, but then the old negativity or the power your ex had over you, wins.
My book is about taking your power back and finding what you seek in life. It’s about recognizing the bad, but making a conscious choice to focus on the good. Feel the loss, but then move on to the kind of life you can only imagine now.
