The hidden value of spacing out…

DaydreamingGo check out this interesting article over at Boomer Cafe today about how powerful daydreaming can be!

Here’s an excerpt:

“When we daydream, we free our thinking of logical limits to allow knowledge, experiences, and ideas to essentially float freely in our mind and mingle with each other in a way that our logical mind cannot handle.   Sometimes this undisciplined mingling creates that flash, that ‘aha’ moment. Aristotle had his eureka moment in a bathtub and Newton had his in an apple orchard.  Where are yours?”

MINE ARE ALWAYS IN THE SHOWER!

In fact, I naturally get such great insights during my shower, that I’ve now made a habit of taking my most perplexing problems or questions with me to the shower.  I almost always come out with a great new way of approaching it!  What’s next?  Taking notes in the shower???

Bibliochef:

We probably love these things because they help us forget that we are middle aged…
