I too have learned a lot from failures (I think a little bit more so than successes) - it is through those failures that we really seem to grow. I think the word 'failure' simply has a bad connotation. BTW, what age would you consider mid-life? Is there an age.. because I'm hearing of people going thru mid-life multiple times...
